HARD RED SPRING WHEAT
AAC ELIE — very short straw, very good lodging resistance, excellent yields, fair FHB resistance, very good replacement for CDC Go
AAC BRANDON — short, strong straw with very good lodging resistance, good FHB rating, high test weight, very good yields
BOLLES – this is a new variety for us. It is very short, with very strong straw so is ideally suited for high fertility irrigated fields. The yield, protein and disease resistance were similar to Elie and Brandon in our field.
REDNET – this is the first variety developed by the University of Alberta that we have ever grown. It is taller than Brandon, but still stood well under irrigation with a PGR. Yield, protein and fusarium resistance are all good. Only a limited quantity available this spring. Good potential for both irrigation and dryland, especially for someone looking for extra straw.
CDC PRECISION — higher yields without any disadvantages, excellent for both irrigation and dryland. In 2019, this variety produced the highest durum yield we have ever had on our farm.
AAC SPITFIRE – better lodging and FHB resistance than Strongfield, excellent on irrigation
CDC INCA – an ideal replacement for CDC Meadow, with better yields, slightly larger seed size, and similar resistance to seed coat cracks
AAC DELHI – a large seeded yellow pea that will be available to growers wanting to grow peas on irrigation for premium contracts
AAC CARVER – a new variety that has early maturity with very good yields, good lodging resistance and medium seed size
PICOLO & KATANI — larger seed and better weed control options than Finola (this is especially important for hybrid seed canola growers)
AAC GATEWAY — winter wheat, very good standability, high protein
GUTINO HYBRID RYE — spectacular yields, very good lodging resistance, very high falling number
KWS DANIELLO HYBRID RYE — excellent yields with reduced ergot
KWS PROPOWER HYBRID RYE—NEW— forage variety for high silage yields
All types – for hay, pasture and yards
