Specialty Seeds Ltd. is a southern Alberta seed company owned by Will and Jean Van Roessel. We have been producing pedigreed seed for over four decades, and we partner with several other seed companies to provide our customers with a wide variety of seeds.
Family-Run Business
Will and Jean run the business with the help of their daughters, Jessie, Rowan, and Naomi.
Based in Bow Island, Alberta
Our farmyard is conveniently located at the north west corner of Bow Island, Alberta. We have a truck scale and are set up to apply seed treatments to cereals and some pulse crops. Almost all of our farmland is irrigated. This allows us to grow high yielding crops and produce excellent seed quality most years.
